Joint workshops with authorities and returnees have been organized during this year Belgrade, 28/7/2008
A cycle of 3 joint workshops with local stakeholders and returnees took place in 4 municipalities Zrenjanin, Knjazevac, Kikinda and Pozarevac.
Zoran Panjkovic, Counsellor for help and protection for vulnerable migrant population, Agency of Human and Minority Rights; Milan Budimir- SDF and Drago Kovacevic - SDF, facilitated Workshops. Local coalition in these municipalities has been established. Local coalition consisted of the representatives of local stakeholders and returnees discussed action plan and suggested to local authorities what changes have to be made to help returnee’s reintegration.

Workshops with local authorities and institutions organized Belgrade, 25/7/2008
One-day workshops with the representatives of local authorities and institutions (municipality authorities, employees of the social welfare offices, schools, health institutions, business sector etc) took place in 4 municipalities. We conducted training with local authorities and institutions in Zrenjanin, Knjazevac, Pozarevac and Kikinda. They were familiarized with the readmission agreements, situation of returnees at their municipality and with obligations of their institutions towards the reintegration of returnees.

Workshops with returnees organized Belgrade, 23/7/2008
Capacity building of returnees at one-day workshop took place in four municipalities: Zrenjanin, Knjazevac, Kikinda and Pozarevac. Representatives of the returnee’s population – informal or formal leaders and more active returnees, have been provided with knowledge about the reintegration processes, the rights and obligations of the returnee population, and the development processes in the local community. Participants were introduced to the advocacy techniques, roles of local institutions and ways of building cooperation with them.

Beggining of «Free of charge legal assistance to refugees, IDPs and other persons with legal needs in Serbia and in other republics of former SFRJ» project implementation Belgrade, 1/4/2008
On 1 April 2008 Serbian Democratic Forum has started to implement “Free of charge legal assistance to refugees, IDPs and other persons with legal needs in Serbia and in other republics of former SFRJ” project in partnership with Humanitarian Center for Integration and Tolerance (HCIT), Relief and Protection Committee (RPC), Society for Peace, Development and Ecology, Society for Assistance to Vulnerable Persons – Solidarnost. Project is implemented within Fund for legal assistance, established by United Nations Development Programme, within the project implemented in partnership with Ministry of Justice, with financial assistance of Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA),
